Hilti Group standardises across its entire new NURON range
Hilti, already a name pretty much synonymous with power tools for construction professionals, is ‘set to change the cordless experience for the construction industry forever’ with the biggest product launch in its 80-year history.
Ingeniously designed to make light work of the heaviest building construction, engineering, mechanical, interior finishing, carpentry, heavy industry and metal work tasks, the Nuron range is a 22-volt cordless battery platform. What’s new about that, you might ask. Well firstly, it comprises 70 different specialist tools – all using the very same battery, thereby getting rid of the cost and hassle and confusion of multiple batteries, chargers, plugs and leads in one fell swoop.
What’s more, if you ever doubted that cordless tools could match the old-fashioned plug-in-the-wall variety for sheer power and staying power, you won’t any more: the new, totally re-invented battery is far more powerful than earlier designs. In fact, Hilti say, it ‘delivers significantly higher power transfer than corded mains, resulting in higher performance.’
The redesign isn’t confined to the one-for-all battery pack. Each of the 70 tools in the range has been re-invented with the ease, comfort and health & safety of the user in mind – they weigh less and feature ergonomically designed grips and shock-resistant bumpers as well as the Hilti Dust Removal System (DRS and Active Vibration Control AVC in more tools than ever before.
And it’s not just at the ‘business end’ that the Nuron range is at the cutting edge. All 70 tools hook up via tool park management software to the cloud, putting key information at site managers’ fingertips – such as tool usage, location and even battery health. The company is keen to point out that all of these innovations have been driven by customer feedback – so they know for sure that the Nuron range will have a major positive impact on its users’ operations in terms of efficiency and productivity as well as Health & Safety!
